We speak with Issue 5: Sweets contributor, Lina Saad, an award-winning cookbook author and food writer. She wrote a beautiful story about knafeh and what happens to it through migration. In Beirut, knafeh is a breakfast dish, while in the UK it’s eaten as a dessert—and she wanted to explore why and how. Lina writes so visually and so beautifully.
In this interview, Lina talks to us about how social media has changed the way knafeh is eaten as well as how preserving food and culture is so important.
